When Jason Derulo Came to Town

The marching band does some pretty cool things sometimes. They make up for all the not so fun things we do on a weekly basis. Like this past weekend when we teamed up with the one and only Jason Derulo for a halftime performance at the football game. And strangely Sylvester Stallone thought it's be pretty fun to stop by the game as well....One of the many benefits of living in Los Angeles.

Of course we performed Trumpets. And the clarinets, as usual, were in the back the entire time. So I heard the performance was great, but I didn't exactly see anything (or really hear anything for that matter). The student section were fans, though, and we can now say that we've performed with Jason Derulo.

It's surprising how well the concert went because only practiced with him once. Literally one run-through. But let's be real, we basically made his average performance a thousand times better. You can watch it here.

Next week, we'll be taking on the Ladies of Pop, but sadly T-Swift won't be making an appearance.

PS. The best part of the game, though (besides winning), was that Jack Del Rio of my Broncos was inducted into the USC Hall of Fame. AND we got to play Chariots of Fire for the track and field inductee. I love that song.
